From LA to New York

Today is Wednesday 3rd of July 2008.
We find ourselves at LA airport awaiting our flight to JFK airport NY.
After our Interisland Channel Swim off Santa Barbara, we spent a couple of great days relaxing, making friends and enjoying the Santa Barbara area.
Yesterday we drove from Santa Barbara to LA, with a little shopping along the way, meeting up with our swimming friend Forrest Nelson for a swim at Manhattan Beach and lunch then a pleasant arfternoon chatting about our various swims and swim wish lists.
Once in NYC we are looking forward to July 4th celabrations and our around Manhattan Island swim (28 miles/45k) on Saturday 5th July before returning to Australia on Monday 6th July.
